Aaron Beavers

Aaron Beavers fronts the band Shurman from Austin, Texas. The band’s latest release Inspiration (released by Blue Rose Records on July 27th) is their 5th full-length studio album. They’ve also got 4 live albums, and 3 EP’s. Needless to say, they stay busy. Along with his duties in his own band, Aaron was tapped last year to play and tour with John Popper & the Duskray Troubadours when they toured behind Popper’s release by the same name. Aaron co-write several of the songs on that record including the lead-off single “Love Has Made It So” which appears in the new film “I Heart Shakey.” When it came time to reconvene Blues Traveler for their 25th Anniversary album Suzie Cracks the Whip, the band tapped writers Alejandro Escovedo, Ron Sexsmith, Carrie Rodriguez, Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors and others, and again it was Aaron who ended up with two new songs on there. One a co-write and the other the self-penned lead-off single “You Don’t Have To Love Me”. If there’s anything else Aaron wants you to know, it’s that he named his son after John Lennon and he loves them both! Beavers is also currently working on a new album with Ray Wylie Hubbard.
