Chris Schlarb

Rich with the sound of the California canyons and swamps of the American south, Psychic Temple III is an instant classic. An album of inspired, original songwriting, Psychic Temple III find producer and guitarist Chris Schlarb stepping in front of the microphone for the first time and the results are startling. After dozens of instrumental albums to his credit, why did this take so long?

Recorded at home in Los Angeles and at legendary FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Psychic Temple III features the talents of Spooner Oldham (Bob Dylan, Neil Young), David Hood (J.J. Cale, Aretha Franklin), Mike Watt (Minutemen, Stooges), Avi Zahner (Avi Buffalo), Nedelle Torrisi (Sufjan Stevens), Dave Easley (Brian Blade Fellowship), and many others. The album was mixed down over three days in March 2015 with Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson).
