Roxanne de Bastion, Singer/Songwriter, born and raised in Berlin, grew up listening to the Beatles, learning guitar and attempting to write and perform her own songs. Once Roxanne finished school she decided it was time to move into her own life of music. She packed a bag, her guitar and flew to London with a one-way ticket in 2007. Since then she’s been fortunate to be able to play her songs across the country and pave her own musical path. Now based in London, but Roxanne spends most of her time on trains across the UK and Europe playing in as many different nooks and crannies as possible. Although it’s not always easy, Roxanne is infinitely thankful to be able to practice what fulfills her most, to make and perform music, and for all who have found enjoyment in her songs and journey. In 2012 Roxanne has had the amazing opportunity to record her first album, produced by Gordon Raphael of Regina Spektor and Strokes fame, which she released on her own label ‘Nomad Songs’ in April. The 10 songs on the record were all written throughout her travels in the UK, Europe, and the US, and tell of her life, things she’s observed and people she’s met.
